This site is unofficial and community run. It is free to read, it carries no ads and no trackers, and it never asks you to make an account. Keeping it that way is the entire point, and it is also the reason this page exists: a site that refuses to sell your attention has to be paid for some other way.

Where it goes

Everything goes into keeping the documentation alive. That is the whole list.

Keeping it online. The domain and the hosting are paid for out of pocket. They are not big bills, but they arrive every year whether or not anybody had the time to write anything that month.

Keeping it true. Mordhau changes. Patches move values, rename config keys, and quietly break instructions that were correct a year ago. Documentation that nobody maintains stops being documentation and becomes a trap, and the slow, unglamorous work of going back through old pages and checking them against the current build is most of what keeps this site worth reading.

Keeping it wide. There are still gaps: pages that exist as outlines rather than guides, and languages where only a handful of pages have been translated. Those get filled in by people spending evenings on them.

What it does not go to

Nobody is paid a salary out of this, there is no company behind it, and it is not affiliated with Triternion or endorsed by them. If there is ever more money than the site needs, it goes to the same place: more pages, more languages, more time spent checking the old ones.

Helping without paying

Money is not the only thing the site runs on, and honestly it is not the scarcest one. Time is.

• Fix something. If a page is wrong, out of date, or missing the one step that would have saved you an hour, say so. Every page has an edit link at the bottom.
• Translate a page. English is the most complete language and the others trail it. This needs no technical knowledge beyond speaking the language.
• Write up what you worked out. The awkward problems people solve in Discord threads are exactly the ones that never make it into documentation.
